Zaya Care is a venture-backed startup with a mission to establish a new standard of affordable prevention and recovery care, beyond the hospital setting. Zaya champions the voices of small private practices in an industry dominated by large health systems. Through best in class, platform first insurance management, credentialing, billing, and administrative services, we eliminate the risk and administrative hurdles associated with insurance. We help independent practices get paid more and run leaner.

About the role:

We are hiring a dedicated Commercial Lead. A generalist GTM operator who can own the full commercial funnel from demand generation to signed practices. This is a rare opportunity to be the commercial spine of a scaling healthcare company, working directly with the CEO.

You will lead marketing, outbound, lead nurturing, CRM management, and sales support. You'll be expected to build systems, not just execute tasks. If you love stitching together AI tools, automations, and data pipelines to build a repeatable GTM engine, this was designed for you.

Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Outbound Systems

  • Build and operate a scalable outbound system using AI tools (Clay, Apollo, Claude, Phantombuster, etc.) to identify, enrich, and sequence outreach to PT/OT practice owners and operators
  • Design multi-channel prospecting sequences across email, LinkedIn, and phone that feel personal at scale
  • Continuously test and optimize outreach messaging, targeting criteria, and channel mix based on conversion data
  • Own the Zaya CRM — keep it clean, current, and analytically useful

LinkedIn & Content Marketing

  • Manage and grow Zaya's LinkedIn presence — company page and CEO personal brand
  • Write, schedule, and optimize posts that drive inbound interest from practice owners (not just likes — booked calls)
  • Identify the content formats and topics that resonate with independent PT/OT owners and double down on what works
  • Build a content calendar that balances educational, social proof, and conversion-oriented content

Sales Support & Pipeline Management

  • Tee up qualified conversations for the CEO — warm leads, context-rich briefings, pre-meeting research
  • Support the full sales cycle: follow-up sequencing, proposal materials, objection handling assets, and contract coordination
  • Track pipeline rigorously and surface patterns — what's converting, what's stalling, and why
  • Own meeting prep and post-meeting follow-through so no deal falls through the cracks

GTM Infrastructure & AI Stack

  • Architect and operate an integrated AI-powered GTM stack — connecting tools for research, personalization, sequencing, and enrichment
  • Build automations that reduce manual work and increase throughput without sacrificing message quality
  • Stay current on new tools and bring in capabilities that give Zaya an asymmetric outreach advantage
  • Document systems so they're reproducible and scalable as the team grows

Market Intelligence & Feedback Loops

  • Track competitive dynamics in the PT/OT billing and RCM space
  • Feed market and customer insights back into messaging, positioning, and product thinking
  • Build feedback loops between outbound results and the CEO/leadership team

About you:

  • You have 3–6 years of experience in sales, growth, marketing, or business development — ideally at an early-stage B2B company
  • You are an expert at LinkedIn — you know how the algorithm works, what makes content convert, and how to use it as a top-of-funnel machine
  • You are fluent with AI tools and automation platforms (Clay, Apollo, Instantly, Phantombuster, Claude, Zapier, Make, etc.) and you know how to stitch them together into a coherent system
  • You are a strong writer — whether it's a cold email, a LinkedIn post, or a follow-up sequence, your words are clear, specific, and persuasive
  • You are analytically competent — you track your own metrics, notice patterns, and make data-driven decisions about where to invest your time
  • You are a strong communicator and a collaborative partner to senior leaders — you know when to act independently and when to loop in the CEO
  • You are organized and reliable — you manage multiple workstreams without dropping balls

Nice to haves:

  • Local to Greater NYC Area preferred
  • Experience in healthcare, RCM, medical billing, or selling to healthcare providers
  • Familiarity with the PT/OT or outpatient rehab market
  • Experience building a GTM motion from scratch at a startup
  • Comfort with basic data analysis (Excel/Google Sheets, basic CRM reporting)
  • Track record of building and scaling outbound programs that resulted in measurable pipeline

Benefits and compensation:

  • Base salary of $120,000 to $140,000, with on-target earnings ranging from $170,000 to $190,000 based on performance. This role will also include an equity package.
