Through strategic partnerships with insurance carriers and our technology platform, we eliminate the risk and administrative hurdles associated with insurance, enabling entrepreneurial providers to launch and expand successful in-network practices, ultimately increasing access to affordable healthcare across the US.
About the Role
As a Director of Sales & RevOps at Zaya and an early team member, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our private practice network across the US. You’ll be building our GTM strategy, GTM tech stack and establishing a scalable sales process. Initially, you’ll lead by example actively selling and building strong rapport with our customers, before you elevate the function and grow your own team of sales reps. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams (RCM operations, credentialing operations, product, customer support) to build a sales motion that drives significant revenue growth.At Zaya, our team is action-oriented, egoless, and highly communicative, with a deep commitment to our mission and our customers. Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership: Build rapport with our customers, personally leading sales efforts to build the playbook and set the standard for future sales reps. Expansion Goals: Experiment with and define winning lead generation channels, significantly increasing pipeline and revenue and driving new business in existing and new state markets. Sales Process & Strategy: Design and implement scalable, data-driven sales processes that increase pipeline and revenue and drive new business in existing and new state markets. Tech Stack & Tools: Define, implement, and manage a GTM tech stack that supports our goals and can scale as the business grows. Cross-collaborative performance: Work with team members across Marketing, RCM, Credentialing, and Product to boost revenue efficiency and sales performance. Team Building & Leadership: Hire, train, and lead our first sales reps, instilling a culture of accountability and excellence. Data-Driven Analysis: Build a robust reporting system that lets you share insights, performance metrics, and recommendations with the CEO, Chief of Staff, and Director of Operations.
About you
Sales Enthusiast: You’re passionate about sales and have successfully built or scaled a sales or RevOps function from scratch. You enjoy the thrill of closing deals and excel at building authentic relationships with customers. Sales Leadership: You know that great sales managers set a high bar for performance, establish clear accountability, and inspire their teams through data-driven coaching and consistent feedback. You’ve built a culture of high-ownership before, where expectations are transparent and sales reps feel motivated and empowered to meet and exceed their goals. Healthcare Expertise: You are curious about and familiar with the administrative challenges that healthcare providers face in today’s system. It’s a plus, if you previously sold into private practice owners. Bias Toward Action: You make confident decisions on what to prioritize, balancing qualitative and quantitative insights to drive company goals, even when trade-offs are required. Analytical & Detail-Oriented: You love crunching numbers and thinking critically about growth impact, edge cases, and the interconnectedness of your work with other team’s workstreams Customer-First Perspective: You proactively seek to understand customer pain points and use those insights to guide sales and process improvements. You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves: : You roll up your sleeves and get things done, unblocking yourself and your team. You thrive in ambiguity, diving into complex problems and emerging with clear, actionable plans.
Benefits and Compensation:
Base Salary of $130,000 - $150,000, plus an annual commission up to $45,000, paid monthly Equity package Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Unlimited PTO and company wide week off during the holidays Opportunity for impact: As an early team member joining during Seed stage, you’ll be an integral player in bringing our vision to life.
