Role Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and AI-obsessed Quality Assurance Engineer to test and QA features and bug fixes before they go out to production, while helping us build the AI-driven infrastructure to do more and more of our testing programmatically. We need someone who will help us minimize regressions, ensure features handle all sorts of edge cases, and guarantee we ship high-quality product for our customers.
Your job is one part quality assurance, one part automation engineer. You’ll own the last mile of product quality: validating that features work as intended, stress-testing important flows, catching bugs before customers do, and giving engineers high-signal feedback when something is broken. We already have AI-driven testing and QA infrastructure that you’ll plug into and build out further. For more complex and urgent QA needs, we expect you to own that set of responsibilities and enable the team to ship more quickly without sacrificing quality.
Key Responsibilities
- QA ownership: Test new features, bug fixes, and critical releases before production, validating against acceptance criteria, designs, customer workflows, and edge cases. Communicate issues and opportunities for improvement with clear, actionable tickets and reproduction steps.
- Regression prevention: Identify fragile product areas and create repeatable testing systems that reduce manual work and prevent recurring bugs.
- Automation & tooling: Build, maintain, and improve automated QA infrastructure, including browser tests, API tests, smoke tests, synthetic checks, and internal QA tools.
- Release readiness: Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, Support, and Ops to identify blockers, verify fixes, and help the team ship faster without lowering the quality bar.
- Quality culture: Improve how the team writes acceptance criteria, tests edge cases, documents QA workflows, and thinks about product risk before shipping.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years in QA, test automation, product engineering, or a similar role testing customer-facing software.
- AI-native workflows: You actively use AI tools to move faster, generate better test coverage, write scripts, summarize issues, and improve QA systems.
- Automation experience: Experience with tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, API testing frameworks, or similar automated testing infrastructure.
- Strong product intuition: You can understand the intended customer experience, spot ambiguous requirements, and think through edge cases before customers find them.
- Basic engineering competency: Comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript, browser devtools, HTTP/REST APIs, JSON, SQL, logs, and basic front-end/back-end debugging.
Join us at Winible and play a pivotal role in building products that enrich and simplify our customers’ lives. If you’re driven by impact, thrive on collaboration, and have a passion for building high-quality product, we’d love to hear from you.
