Role Overview

We’re looking for a seasoned engineer who owns cloud architecture (AWS, terraform) but can also ship production code across our Node/React stack. In this role, you’ll be working closely with the CTO and engineering team to ensure we scale our infrastructure and consistently ship high-quality product that adds value to our customers.

We expect this contributor to be an incredibly sharp and capable individual contributor. You should be able to write high-quality code across our entire stack - from terraform code, to SQL, to back-end code and, occasionally, maybe even some front-end react.

You leverage the latest AI tooling to scale your impact. You embrace these new technologies and actively work to incorporate them into your workflows - whether for code reviews, writing tests, writing small features, doing analysis, etc.

We are looking for an engaged and committed senior engineering contributor who is ready to help our business through this next phase of explosive growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud / DevOps
  • Design, provision, and scale AWS infrastructure with Terraform (VPC, RDS/Postgres, SQS/SNS, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, CloudFront).
  • Own CI/CD (GitHub Actions → Vercel/ECS) with automated test, security, and cost-checks.
  • Own observability and alerting: CloudWatch, etc—SLOs, alerting, runbooks, pagerduty.
  • Drive security & compliance: IAM least-privilege, Secrets Manager
  • Optimize infrastructure costs: rightsizing, savings plans
• Product Engineering (Mostly Back-end, some occasional Front-end)
  • Contribute to data-model & API design (Postgres, Prisma/Knex/Sequelize).
  • Ship customer-facing features in Node.js/TypeScript, Next.js (Pages Router), React, etc

Qualifications

• 8+ years of working full-time as an engineer, 4+ years working with AWS infrastructure
• Prior experience building and scaling technology infrastructure ranging from AWS resources to testing, quality assurance, and deployment infrastructure
• Expert-level AWS (design, IaC, scaling, cost, security). Nice-to-have: AWS SA-Pro or DevOps-Pro cert.
• Proven experience owning CI/CD pipelines and observability stacks.
• Strong TypeScript/Node + React; comfortable moving up and down the stack.
• Very Strong SQL & schema design (Postgres).
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and communicate effectively with engineering, design, product, and other stakeholders
• Adaptability and capability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
