About the Role
Suno is seeking a Director, Business Development, Music Industry Partnerships to drive the strategy and execution of commercial relationships across record labels, music publishers, and other music industry players. You will lead dealmaking, build and maintain senior industry relationships, and help shape how Suno partners with the music ecosystem.
This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and sits at the intersection of music, technology, and AI. It requires expertise in both recorded music and publishing, extensive negotiation experience, comfort operating without a playbook, and the ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across product, legal, finance, operations, and partnerships. This is a senior individual contributor role with the prospect of managing people in the future.

What You’ll Do
Drive Suno’s commercial strategy for partnerships with companies in the music industry, driving alignment across product, legal, finance, and operations
Negotiate and close deals with labels, publishers, and other music industry players, including first-of-kind deal structures in a category that is still being defined
Build and maintain senior-level relationships across the music industry that expand Suno’s reputation, credibility, and partnership pipeline
Monitor the competitive and evolving landscape in AI music, advising leadership on market dynamics, industry engagement strategy, and partnership opportunities
Develop scalable approaches to contract management, partner operations, and long-term industry collaboration
Lead strategic initiatives across ecosystem partnerships, and platform integrations as Suno’s commercial footprint grows
What You’ll Need
10+ years of experience in business development and/or commercial negotiations within the music, media or technology sectors
Demonstrated experience negotiating and closing complex, high-value deals, including forging first-of-a-kind partnerships
Experience working with record labels, music publishers, and other companies in the music industry
Strong track record of influencing and aligning stakeholders across multiple levels, including executive leadership
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Proven ability to execute multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
High degree of autonomy, ownership, and strategic judgment; comfort navigating situations where there is no established playbook
Strong product intuition and experience collaborating closely with product and technical teams
Experience operating effectively in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments
