As a Medicare Insurance agent within our organization, you will be instrumental in helping us ensure that credit union members have access to the appropriate medicare policies during their retirement. We are building a nationwide footprint, leveraging the partnerships we have with financial institutions. Our credit unions are committed to building this agency with us, providing you with a unique source of high quality leads.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with current and prospective credit union clients and provide them with Medicare products in compliance with CMS rules and regulations.
  • Partner with our Head of Agency to ensure you are appointed with appropriate Medicare insurance carriers in a timely manner.
  • Complete and maintain continuing AHIP, continuing education, and carrier course requirements. Must keep state and federal licenses in good standing.
  • You will be responsible for individual Medicare sales using in-person, virtual, and phone skills. Sales experience using all of these methods is strongly preferred.
  • Medicare Insurance agents may be required to execute customer facing sales efforts including webinars, in person seminars, outbound and inbound calls.
  • Partner with credit unions to create an experience that feels like an extension of the credit union experience. Understand that Medicare is one part of the retirement wallet and that cross sell opportunities are critical to the partnership being effective
  • Meet annual sales targets, and exceed goals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medicare agent with 2+ years experience in medicare sales. Experience as an field agent is strongly preferred
  • Must be comfortable guiding the end consumer on the Medicare enrollment process
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Strong sales ability, business acumen, and commercial awareness
  • History of meeting and exceeding aggressive sales targets
  • Possess strong communication capabilities: you’re able to go above and beyond to ensure that targets are met
  • Love working in small companies where you can see the impact of your work.
  • Have a bias for action

You will be an employee of Silvur Insurance Services. Employees must be based in Michigan and willing to travel to meet customers on a regular basis. Employees receive a total compensation package including salary, health benefits and 401k with employer contribution.

Compensation: Base salary of $36,000/ year plus commissions. Target year 1 compensation of $60,000 plus benefits. Agents will receive additional commissions based on annual policy renewals.
