About the Role:

As ShopMy's first FP&A hire, you will play a pivotal role in owning and operationalizing our entire financial planning engine. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role requiring deep financial modeling expertise, advanced data analysis skills, and the ability to operate in an environment where speed and adaptability are critical. You will partner closely with leaders across the business to establish scalable financial processes, build tools to assess business health, and create a center of excellence for financial business partnership.

Your Impact to The Role:

Financial Modeling, Forecasting, and Planning

• Own the full financial planning cadence, including the annual operating plan, rolling monthly reforecasts, and quarterly strategic updates.
• Build and maintain complex, dynamic financial models to support budgeting, scenario planning, and long-range strategic planning.

Data Analysis & Business Health Measurement

• Use SQL and other data tools to extract, analyze, and interpret large datasets to inform real-time decision-making.
• Build tools and frameworks to measure business health, including unit economics, cohort behavior, and profitability metrics.
• Develop and automate dashboards and reporting tools that deliver timely and actionable insights to the executive team.

Strategic Business Partnership

• Partner actively with department leaders to deeply understand their functions, provide financial insights, and implement action plans that improve outcomes.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, bringing both financial rigor and operational understanding.

Process Improvement & Systems Building

• Identify and implement best-in-class financial planning processes and scalable systems to support growth.
• Continuously improve FP&A operations, enhance automation, and streamline workflows to increase team efficiency.
• Help select and implement future financial planning software or BI tools as the function grows.

What We're Looking For:

• 6+ years of experience in corporate FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL (required)
• Exceptional financial modeling, forecasting, and quantitative analysis skills.
• Experience building dynamic financial models that drive decision-making.
• Strategic thinker with a learning mindset; thrives in high-change, high-growth environments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and business acumen; strong executive presence..

Bonus Points:

• Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• Experience working with SaaS revenue models, deferred revenue management, and recurring revenue metrics (ARR, churn).
