About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on People Business Partner to support our European engineering teams. As the primary People partner for engineering leadership, you will strengthen manager capability, guide organizational health, and help build an environment where technical talent can do their best work. This role requires a strong blend of strategic advising, operational depth, and an intuitive understanding of how technical teams operate and thrive.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Advisory: Partner closely with engineering leaders on org design, workforce planning, team health, and long-range talent strategy.
Know Your Team: Build a nuanced understanding of how engineering teams plan, deliver, and collaborate to better support team dynamics, sustainable productivity, and clarity of expectations.
Manager Coaching & Capability Building: Equip managers with frameworks, tools, and coaching for onboarding, development, performance conversations, and navigating complexity.
Performance & Growth Enablement: Support the rollout and adoption of career frameworks, leveling, and feedback practices to foster growth, fairness, and consistent high performance across technical roles.
Employee Relations & Compliance Leadership: Guide sensitive employee relations matters with sound judgment and empathy, ensuring alignment with employment laws across European markets.
Culture & Engagement: Partner with our Workplace team to strengthen engagement by identifying team needs, surfacing insights, and reinforcing Rho’s One Team culture globally.
Hiring & Talent Planning Partnership: Collaborate with Talent and People Ops to align hiring plans with org needs, improve the candidate-to-employee journey, and ensure seamless onboarding for EPD hires.
Cross-Functional People Programs: Localize global People initiatives (compensation cycles, manager development, engagement programs) for European audiences while maintaining overall alignment and quality.
What You Bring
5+ years of HR/People Business Partner experience supporting engineering, product, or design teams.
Strong familiarity with European employment law; experience operating across multiple EU countries is ideal.
Ability to build trust and influence senior technical leaders through insight, clarity, and strong judgment.
Experience handling complex employee relations issues with discretion and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Data-informed approach to diagnosing org issues and shaping strategic recommendations.
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, global, high-growth organization.
A pragmatic, empathetic style that balances business needs with employee experience.
