About the Job

You’ll build and maintain backend services using Python in a serverless, cloud-native environment. You’ll develop APIs, work with DynamoDB and Postgres, and ship reliable features that power global financial workflows.

You’ll learn distributed systems fundamentals, production best practices, and how backend systems operate at scale. This role is ideal for engineers who are curious, detail-oriented, and eager to grow into strong product-minded backend developers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Python within a serverless architecture.
  • Implement RESTful APIs following established design standards.
  • Build and maintain features using DynamoDB and Postgres under guidance.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability.
  • Deploy services using CI/CD pipelines and follow infrastructure guidelines.
  • Debug and resolve well-scoped production issues.=
  • Follow security, scalability, and performance best practices.
  • Actively participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Develop an understanding of product requirements and user impact.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of backend development experience.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and DynamoDB.
  • Basic knowledge of Postgres and relational database concepts.
  • Understanding of RESTful API design principles.
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn distributed systems and cloud-native development.
  • Ability to take initiative within a defined scope and ask the right questions.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

  1. Initial Screen – 30 minutes
  2. Technical Interview – 60 minutes
  3. Practical Programming Interview – 2 hours
  4. Behavioral Interview – 30 minutes
