About the role
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Enterprise Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our expanding sales team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving Nirvana’s growth by identifying and generating new business opportunities within large healthcare provider groups. This is a high-impact position that requires a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Location: NYC (In office 3 days per week)
What you’ll do
- Prospect Identification: Research and identify potential clients and business opportunities with large healthcare provider groups in specialties including Behavioral Health, Physical Therapy, Weight Management and more.
- Outbound Outreach: Execute outbound prospecting activities, including emailing, attending conferences and social media engagement, to generate new leads and set up meetings for the sales team.
- Lead Qualification: Qualify inbound and outbound leads to ensure they meet the company's ideal customer profile, effectively communicating the value proposition of our solutions.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and key decision-makers, understanding their needs and pain points to tailor our solutions accordingly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to develop and execute effective strategies for lead generation and conversion.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and provide insights for strategic planning.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all business development activities, prospects, and opportunities in Salesforce.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue growth, to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
What we're seeking
Minimum qualifications:
- 2+ years of sales/business development experience, preferably within the healthcare or technology industry.
- Proven track record of establishing and growing successful business relationships with technology buyers at large enterprise accounts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools, including Apollo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Preferred qualifications:
- An understanding of the healthcare industry, with a focus on mental health and insurance solutions, is preferred.
- Past experience with an early-stage technology company
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of establishing and growing successful business relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. California/New Jersey/New York/Washington pay range
$70k—$90k USD + Commission
