The Opportunity
Good Inside is seeking a strategically minded Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Product Engineering organization. This role is focused on delivering high-quality, user-facing experiences across web and mobile platforms.
Our product is a parenting platform that combines behavioral science, expert content, personalization and Generative AI to help parents feel grounded, confident, and connected in everyday life.
You’ll manage and grow a team of product engineers working primarily with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript, and across mobile platforms (native iOS/Android or Flutter). You’ll partner closely with Product, Design, and Growth to ship impactful features, iterate quickly based on user feedback, and maintain a high bar for engineering craft and user experience.
This is a full-time role reporting directly to the Head of Engineering and is hybrid in Manhattan, with three days per week onsite.
What You’ll Own
- Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team of Product Engineers building user-facing features
- Own execution for core product and growth initiatives, from discovery through launch and iteration
- Partner deeply with Product, Design, and Marketing to plan roadmaps, scope work, and deliver outcomes
- Uphold high standards for frontend and mobile engineering, including code quality, testing, performance, and polish
- Guide architectural decisions across React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and mobile platforms (Native or Flutter)
- Support engineers working across multiple surfaces (web, iOS, Android) with shared patterns and tooling
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and clear career development paths for engineers at different stages
- Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and deliver thoughtful, actionable feedback
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-ownership team culture - Hire, onboard, and retain top-tier product-focused engineering talent
- Communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders and keep teams aligned and unblocked
Your Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in an engineering leadership or people management role, ideally in a consumer or product-driven environment
- 5+ years of experience working on product engineering teams, shipping user-facing features
- Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Experience building and shipping mobile applications, either native (iOS/Android) or cross-platform (Flutter)
- Solid understanding of product engineering tradeoffs, frontend architecture, and performance optimization
- Experience collaborating closely with backend, data, and ML teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong execution and organizational skills; familiarity with tools like Jira, Notion, or similar

- Compensation: Annual salary for this role will be $225,000 - $240,000
