The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced podcast leader and producer to elevate and grow our #1 parenting podcast “Good Inside with Dr. Becky” as well as develop new offerings from other Good Inside experts and creators.

This is not just a recording-and-editing role. This is for someone who sees how a moment becomes a movement – who gets storytelling, emotional pacing, audience connection, and knows how to pull the best out of talent on camera and in the edit. You’ll manage and execute production from pre to post, but also help shape ideas, push creative, and build scalable formats that extend beyond long-form podcasting into social, video and written content as well.

This role is hybrid in Manhattan and requires 3 days a week in the office.

What You'll Do

Creative + Strategic Oversight:

  • Establish a center of excellence for podcast storytelling and production for Good Inside
  • Collaborate with Head of Content on overarching podcast strategy, focused on driving audience reach and brand awareness
  • Work hand in hand with talent to shape show formats and production approaches that suit individual styles and strengths
  • Oversee guest strategy informed by editorial goals and performance insights
  • Help shape strategy for paywalled content (e.g. bonus / ad-free episodes, etc) to drive podcast audience to Good Inside membership

Production:

  • Own audio/video recording sessions from start to finish in coordination with our video production team (prep, scheduling, tech setup, releases, postproduction, etc)
  • Coordinate remote and in-studio guest recordings
  • Edit audio for pacing, clarity, and sound design; deliver polished final cuts for publishing
  • Cut promotional assets for each episode, including trailers, sizzle reels, audiograms and social media clips
  • Collaborate with the Sponsorship team on ad recording needs, ensuring accurate integration and timely delivery
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to create house ads for Good Inside membership

Your Skills and Experience

  • 5-7+ years experience as a Producer/Supervising Podcast Producer in a content-forward media or entertainment environment
  • A strong editorial sensibility and proven track record of working with thought leaders or other high profile talent
  • A history of developing new formats
  • An excellent communicator and team leader
  • Hands on experience recording and editing long-form audio content
  • A strong understanding of how podcasts can be harvested for short-form, including best practices for social media and other distribution points
  • Passion for mission-driven storytelling with emotional intelligence and humor, with an eye for cultural relevance
