Who We Are

Good Inside is redefining parenting - not as something that should “just come naturally,” but as a skill to learn and practice. Founded by Dr. Becky Kennedy and Dr. Erica Belsky, we combine sturdy leadership with innovative technology to give parents personalized guidance, AI-powered support, and a global community.

Our mission: help parents raise resilient, confident kids in a changing world. We’ve already reached millions, and we’re just getting started. We’re refining our product and expanding our reach to empower even more families.

We’re looking for bold, high-ownership problem-solvers who want to build something new, tackle big challenges, and be at the forefront of change.

The Opportunity
Good Inside is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Growth Pod. You’ll have a massive impact helping hundreds of thousands of parents discover life-changing solutions to their deepest issues. In this role, you’ll work to rapidly experiment and build features that drive user acquisition.

This role is a hybrid position with three days a week in our Manhattan office.

What You’ll Own

  • End-to-End Web Feature Delivery: Lead planning, estimation, implementation, testing, and support for features spanning our web application, backend services, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Web Client Development: Build and maintain high-performance, maintainable web experiences in React/Next.js with Tailwind, ensuring strong test coverage, accessibility, and performance across devices.
  • Payment Infrastructure Leadership: Design, build, and operate secure, compliant payment flows and integrations at scale; proactively identify risks and drive roadmap improvements.
  • Quality, Reliability & Observability: Embed testing at every layer (unit, integration, end-to-end); advocate for and implement observability best practices; help lead incident response and post-mortem processes.
  • Technical Leadership: Mentor teammates, review code with an eye toward long-term maintainability, and help set engineering standards and best practices for the web stack.

Your Skills & Experience

  • 2-5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on web development at scale.
  • Proven track record leading complex cross-stack features from architecture through launch and iteration.
  • Deep expertise in React, Next.js, Tailwind, and modern web technologies (TypeScript, Vercel, etc.), with strong intuition for performance and DX trade-offs.
  • Strong proficiency in some backend frameworks (examples include FastAPI, Flask, Django, Express) and ORMs (SQLAlchemy or equivalent) for schema design, migrations, and modeling.
  • Familiarity with modern testing practices (unit with Jest, integration/E2E with Playwright, visual regression with Storybook) and CI/CD automation.
  • Effective communicator: able to translate technical tradeoffs into business impact for PMs, Designers, and Execs.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across teams.

Nice to Haves

  • Python, FastAPI & SQLAlchemy experience (bonus, but not required).
  • Payments knowledge: experience building/operating secure, compliant, high-throughput payment flows (Stripe, Apple, Google, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Dart & Flutter (our mobile app tech stack).
  • Contributions to open source or public tech talks/blog posts.
  • Prior mentorship or interview experience.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: base salary for this role will be $140k - $180k annually
  • Company Equity
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • 401k + Company match
  • Time off to recharge
  • Hybrid work environment
  • A high-ownership, high-performance, high-collaboration culture
