The Opportunity
Good Inside is looking for an innovative storyteller and a pragmatic Senior Data Analyst, Product & Marketing Insights who can turn data into actionable business recommendations. You'll work closely with our Head of Data, collaborating across teams to drive real-world impact. We need someone who can cut through the noise, identify what truly matters, and communicate insights in plain English. If you're passionate about using data to solve business problems, want to work with a modern data and MarTech stack, and can balance speed with accuracy, we want to hear from you. This is a hybrid role based in Manhattan with three days onsite.
What You’ll Own
- Insight Generation: Analyze qualitative, quantitative, and behavioral data sets to uncover actionable insights that drive business growth and product improvements
- Clear Communication: Translate complex data findings into simple, compelling stories that resonate with both technical and non-technical team members including executive leadership and stakeholders across product, marketing, content, operations, and community
- Prioritization: Focus on high-impact analyses that move the business forward, balancing speed and accuracy
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the company to understand their needs, deliver insights that drive action, and educate cross-functional stakeholders to increase data literacy
- Visualization: write ad-hoc SQL queries in response to data requests, and build clear intuitive dashboards (Mode, Snowflake, Amplitude) that make insights easily accessible to the team
- Experimentation: design and analyze experiments to test hypotheses and inform decision-making
Your Skills & Experience
- You have 5+ years of experience in an analytics role focused on data analytics, marketing, product development (B2C, B2B, Consulting)
- You have an undergraduate or graduate degree in a highly numerate major (econ, math, stats, analytics, marketing etc) or relevant experience in data and/or business analytics
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools, with a focus on creating clear, impactful reports
- A practical mindset that prioritizes actionable insights over perfect but unused analyses
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms and tailor your message to different audiences
- Strong business acumen and a keen understanding of how data insights translate to business value
- A bias for action and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience collaborating with diverse teams and the ability to build strong relationships across the organization
- A curious and proactive approach to problem-solving, always looking for ways to add value through data
- The ability to balance speed and accuracy, knowing when to dive deep and when a quick analysis will suffice
