About the Role
Dandy is hiring an Automation Engineer to join our rapidly expanding automation team. The role will be a hybrid role working with Dandy’s local vendors in Singapore as well as remote work. This role will focus on implementing and sustaining automation projects, by working in close collaboration with the manufacturing and automation teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechatronics and a hands-on approach to process engineering. The role is critical in developing, and deploying automated systems to achieve high-quality standards in the dental industry.
What You'll Do
Manage the implementation of automation projects from concept to commissioning, including coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
Develop project plans and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within the manufacturing budget
Coordinate equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure systems meet design specifications and performance requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase to minimize downtime and ensure successful project completion.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems into existing manufacturing processes.
Provide training and support to operations teams on the use and maintenance of automated systems.
Innovate factory processes, concepts, and design to enable an ideal automated manufacturing and measurement processes for Dandy’s products.
What We're Looking For
B.S/M.S in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering; or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in project management and commissioning of automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical skills and ability to understand complex automation systems.
Experience with injection molding tooling and other plastics manufacturing processes
Experience with CNC machines, part fixturing, and integration with automated systems
Experience with project management tools and techniques.
Experience with managing automation vendors, spare parts and 3rd party support.
Experience participating in FAT, SAT and machine buyoff at vendor sites.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of CPK, OEE, Yield and availability for machine metrics
Bonus Points For
Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Experience with qualification of custom automation equipment
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to automation systems in the manufacturing industry.
Experience with robotic systems integration, AOI and programming.
