About Arketa:
Arketa is building the operating system for modern fitness and wellness. Our mission is to make wellness more accessible by empowering studios and wellness entrepreneurs to grow beyond in-person classes. We provide a powerful, all-in-one platform to manage and scale hybrid wellness businesses — whether online, in-person, or both.
With Arketa, studios can manage schedules, accept bookings and payments, build on-demand video libraries, host retreats, run automated marketing, and launch fully branded apps and websites. We make it simple for founders to deliver a seamless, professional experience across every customer touchpoint. We’ve raised $15M in Series A funding and are growing quickly. It’s a unique moment to join us — we’re building a category-defining company in a fast-moving space, and we’re looking for teammates who are excited to help shape the future of wellness.
The Role:
As Head of Finance, you will partner directly with the CEO/co-founder and CTO/co-founder to drive financial strategy, ensure analytical rigor across the company, and help guide Arketa through its next phase of scale. You will sit the intersection of product, growth, and capital strategy, helping translate company ambition into disciplined financial execution.
This is a highly strategic and hands-on role for someone excited to build finance from the ground up while operating as a core thought partner to leadership.
For the first 6 to 12 months, you're the analyst, the modeler, and the strategist.
This role is hybrid to our NYC (NoHo) office.
What You’ll Own:
Financial Strategy & Modeling
Own Arketa’s operating model, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
Build rigorous revenue and margin models across SaaS, payments, and emerging product lines
Lead scenario planning tied to pricing strategy, product launches, and growth investments
Establish financial frameworks that enable fast, high-confidence decision making
Ensure modeling accuracy and analytical consistency across the business
Strategic Finance & Executive Partnership
Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team
Translate company strategy into financial plans and measurable outcomes
Support board reporting, investor updates, and potential future fundraising efforts
Develop KPI frameworks connecting product adoption, revenue performance, and company health
Provide analytical insight that informs major company decisions
Finance Function Buildout
Own budgeting and planning processes across departments
Partner with external accounting firms on close, reporting, and compliance
Design scalable financial processes appropriate for a high-growth SaaS company
Improve visibility into unit economics, margins, and operational efficiency
Business Partnership & Growth Initiatives
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Operations teams
Provide financial insight on major investments and strategic initiatives
Help leadership prioritize resources based on ROI and long-term impact
What We’re Looking For:
7+ years of experience across investment, strategic finance, or high-performance analytical roles, currently operating at a Senior Director, VP, or equivalent level, or ready to step into that scope
-
Highly recommended background
Candidates must have 1–3+ years in at least one of the following:

Exceptional financial modeling expertise with the ability to independently build and pressure-test complex operating models, forecasts, and scenario analyses
Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured financial frameworks and clear executive decisions
Experience partnering closely with founders or executive leadership teams as a strategic advisor
Strong intuition for SaaS and technology business models, including revenue drivers and unit economics
High ownership mindset with strong intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
Clear communicator capable of translating complex analysis into compelling narratives for leadership, board members, and investors
Thrives in fast-moving environments where priorities evolve quickly
