Position: Appliance Sales Representative
In this role, you will play a crucial role in representing our company's high-end appliance products to customers who seek quality, performance, and style. You will be responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience, demonstrating product knowledge, and achieving sales targets. This position is within an employee-owned retail environment, emphasizing teamwork, commitment, and a shared interest in the company's success. Details of the incentive plan will be thoroughly explained during the interview process. In total, an Appliance Specialist should earn $80,000 - $100,000 per year, with the opportunity for significantly more for top performers.
Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Listen to customers' needs, preferences, and budget constraints to recommend suitable luxury appliances.
Provide personalized product demonstrations, highlighting features and benefits.
Product Knowledge:
Stay updated on the latest trends, features, and advancements in luxury appliances.
Attend training sessions and manufacturer presentations to deepen product knowledge.
Explain technical specifications and details to customers effectively.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Upsell and cross-sell complementary products and services.
Prepare and present quotes, negotiate prices, and close sales.
Merchandising and Store Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including arranging product displays.
Ensure that all appliances are in working order and properly labeled.
Collaborate with team members on visual merchandising strategies.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients.
Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Maintain a customer database and use it for targeted marketing and outreach.
Teamwork and Employee Ownership:
Collaborate with colleagues to achieve store goals.
Participate actively in company meetings and decision-making processes, as an employee-owner.
Contribute ideas for improving sales strategies, customer experience, and store operations.
Compliance and Reporting:
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including pricing guidelines and return policies.
Accurately report daily sales activities, inventory levels, and customer interactions.
Assist with periodic stock counts and inventory management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
  • Proven track record in retail sales, especially in luxury or high-end products.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn about complex appliances.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for luxury products.
  • Ability to work flexible hours Monday – Friday 8 – 5 and rotating Saturdays 10 – 4 , including evenings and weekends.
  • Knowledge of the luxury appliance industry and related brands is a plus strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
